It is highly advised for your health that a doctor is consulted before you leave on your adventure and that you have on line all recommended injections.
Travel insurance is piece of mind and for anyone travelling to ANY destination overseas, insurance should be considered a must “including India”!.
During our travels we stay at quality accommodation. Whilst on the road, regular rest stops are taken at recommended tourist road houses with hygienic restaurant and toilet facilities.
The Indian currency is the Rupee and your money can be converted upon arrival in India. Credit cards are accepted by hotels and retailers in most places. (Except in smaller establishments and on the street)
You can buy a local number at Delhi airport upon your arrival. . If it is unlocked so that calling and texting home is that little bit less expensive. Bring a couple of extra passport photos.
Electricity in India is 240V. A multi plug adaptor can be purchased at the duty free before you leave home. Don’t forget to bring a charger for your camera and phone.
Tipping is a way of life in India and therefore with most services a tip is customary.

Monument and camera charges are minimal and are not included in your tour cost.

The months of September, October and November are perfect times to travel in India. December starts to cool down for winter and the cool weather continues through January but still perfect for travel just remember to carry a jacket. From then on you can expect cool crisp days in February, perfect weather in March and April. May is HOT! HOT! HOT! and temperatures can reach into the 50’s. At this point the tourist season ends as the months of June July and into August are Monsoon Months.
